Hey! My name is Rhamy - a photographer, writer, and filmmaker based in Illinois.
I'm currently a freshman at DePaul University, located in Chicago. I'm majoring in film & television with a minor in psychology. I'm a member of the photo club here, and am certainly hoping to become more involved through more clubs as my time continues. I'm currently working on a short film, In Endless Fey, but would be more than happy to get involved with other projects as well.
My photography is made up from a variety of different scenes that I find pleasant and captivating. Which includes a variety of different atmospheres - from the vast landscapes of Iceland to the night time serenity of Glen Ellyn. I also enjoy including large amounts of negative spacing in my work, so I usually have one subject or none at all - adding on to the atmosphere. I also enjoy making my pictures seem like paintings as they are capable of creating a connection with the audience. A deep personal connection that an individual may develop, leading them to return to the same image continuously in order to reflect, admire, or engage with the image.
My films aren't quite polished yet, as I've only recently began creating narrative stories. My work contains a short film, two mini narratives, a proof of concept, and a narrative music video. Through my short time of creating narrative stories, I've taken a special appreciation on focusing on human nature and universal human experiences: regret and relationships in In Endless Fey, false hope and grief in WHO'S ON THE OTHER SIDE, love in Better Together, and satisfaction in One Perfect Shot. Which is a facet that I'm continuously building upon as well strengthening in order to create polished and relatable films. I am currently in production of In Endless Fey.
My acting... is not particularly anything special for now. As I've only started acting this year and don't have much big roles under my belt. I'm constantly learning more and becoming better with each project whether I'm the lead or a reoccurring character. I'm currently a recurring character in a show: Residential Advisor.
